Christine Hicks, LLB

Christine has over 20 years of experience in the field of intellectual property. She is currently a senior partner in Hicks Intellectual Property Law.
Her practice has always been a balance between patent, trademark and design work. In the area of patents and designs, she has extensive experience in filing and prosecuting patent and industrial design applications in the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. She has a strong grasp of technical subject matter and has handled patent applications in a wide range of technical areas but with a particular expertise in medical devices.
Christine holds an LLB, Law from the University of Ottawa and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2002. She is Registered in Canada as both a Patent Agent and a Trademark Agent; additionally, she is a Member of both the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada and the International Trademark Association.
