Javier (Hobby) Pardo
Hobby brings over 25 years of experience serving in various risk and insurance advisory roles at large energy companies.
Hobby brings expertise working in risk management and insurance. His career includes experience buying and managing complex insurance programs (including the use of Everen capacity), captive creation, and utilization; claims negotiations and settlements; and development of corporate insurance strategy. Hobby previously held the position of risk and insurance advisor for Shell, risk and insurance manager for Nexen/CNOOC, and Director, Insurance at Parkland Corporation.
Hobby holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary, a Fellowship (FCIP) accreditation with the Insurance Institute of Canada, and he has completed an Executive Development Program from Queen’s University.
